Indo-Bangladesh friendship cycle rally from Nov 09

Agartala, Oct 26, 2012 : An Indo-Bangladesh friendship cycle rally is scheduled to start on November 06. A meeting of the organizing committee held at Agartala on Thursday decided that the route for cycle rally has been divided into two parts – one sans cycles and one with cycles. It has been learnt that the participants would reach Brahmanbariya in Bangladesh plying through Akhaura after starting from Agartala. The contingent would rest at Comilla for a night wherefrom they are scheduled to reach Dhaka to participate in cultural programmes availing train and bus services. The team is then scheduled to start from Dhaka for Agartala through Comilla on cycles. MLA Pabitra Kar who happens to be the chairman of the organizing committee, has expressed hopes that the rally would contribute to build stronger bonds between the two neighbouring nations.
