C K Nayudu: Saurashtra crush Tripura by an innings and 170-run

Agartala, Oct 29, 2012 : Tripura again accept second innings defeat in the Colonel C K Nayudu trophy(Under-25) tournament against Saurashtra that ended at RMC cricket ground in Rajkot on Sunday.
On the third day of the four-day match, resuming at 332 for six the home team closed their first innings at 402 losing last four wickets. P Solanki(54) was the first victim of the day caught by Rajib Saha(junior) off Kapil Kumar. Then Vishal Joshi(24) and Dharmendra Jadeja(33 NO) guided their side to cross 400-mark. Sanjib Saha (2/77) and Swapan Das(1/31) shared the other wickets.
Chasing the target of 245 to save the match, the visitors were bundled out for a paltry 75 in 34 overs. Only Gaurav Bhatia(16), Aniruddha Saha(24) and Nirupam Sen Chowdhury(13) scored double figures.
V Joshi(13-5-24-7) and D Jadeja(14-5-24-3) destroyed Tripura innings and got innings and 170-run victory for Saurashtra.
Tripura will play their next away match against Goa at Panaji.
