Ranji: Tripura 228/6, Abbas Ali 103 not out

Agartala, Nov 09, 2012 : Tripura made 228/6 in 90 overs against Andhra Pradesh on day one of the 4-day Ranji trophy match began from Friday at R D Trust stadium in Anantapur. This was possible due to the brilliant unbeaten century of Syed Abbas Ali (103, 4x15). He faced 187 balls.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the visitors lost four wickets for 86 runs in 41.4 overs. Samrat Singha(15), Subhrajit Roy(00), Udit Patel(26) and skipper Ajay Ratra(27) failed to resist Rajesh Pawar(1/46), Atchuta Rao(1/33) and D Shivkumar(2/40).

Abhijit Dey(17) and Debabrata Chowdhury(20) played for a while but K Sahabuddin(2/44) sent them pavilion quickly. Manisankar Murasingh(05) was at the crease with Abbas Ali.

Rajib Saha replaced by Debabrata from the squad that played against Assam.
