Ranji: Abbas Ali 108 not-out as Tripura need 129-run to save follow-on

Agartala, Nov 19, 2012 : Tripura made 285 for four in reply to Services Sports Control Board’s 563/4(declared) in the first innings of the 4-day Ranji trophy(Group-C) match being played at MBB stadium on Monday.

On the third day of the match, the hosts will need 129-run more to save follow-on with six wickets in hand.

Subhrajit Roy(64, 4x9), Samrat Singha(38, 4x6), Udit Patel(49, 3x4, 2x6), Syed Abbas Ali(108 batting, 4x17, 202 balls, 250 minutes) were the remarkable scorers for Tripura.

Sadab Nazar(2/70) was the highest wicket taker for SSCB while Suraj Yadav and Yashpal Singh shared one each.

Earlier, Subhrajit made two brilliant hundred partnerships with Samrat and Udit Patel which gave Tripura to fight back in the match.

But skipper Ajay Ratra(05) was caught behind the wicket off Sadab Nazar. Abhijit Dey(08) remained unbeaten with Abbas Ali at stumps.
