LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP AND REINSTATEMENT
8.
(C) [I] A member may resign membership by addressing a letter to the
Secretary and the Resignation shall be accepted unless the
concerned member is bound by any liability to the club in which
event the Managing Committee of the Club shall take such action as
may be deemed fit to realize all dues from the member who wishes to
resign. However, in other cases the Managing Committee by a majority
decision may formally request or persuade a member to reconsider his
decision resign provided the said member’s continuance of membership
is deemed necessary of desirable in the interest of the Club. The
resignation shall not, however, entitle any members to refund of any
of the fees, subscriptions or donation paid by him in advance.

Any member who defaults in payment of subscription for a period
exceeding three months after it becomes due shall automatically
cease to be a member. He may be reinstated on payment of all arrears
and a fine of Rs. 25 within a year without incurring the provision
in respect of seniority mentioned in the Sub-rule (d) of ruled 18,
captioned 'ELECTIONS AND RULES THEREOF –VOTING RIGHTS'

The Managing Committee shall be competent to suspend/ expel any
member of take such other disciplinary measures as warranted by
circumstances providing the concerned member a reasonable
opportunity to defend himself either verbally or in writing if any
member is found to have indulged in acts of in discipline
detrimental to the prestige and interest of the Club. While
initiating the process of disciplinary measure the Managing
Committee may inform the facing charges of indiscipline works.
However, the issue of disciplinary measure shall be referred to
general body in the event of a group of members being charged with
misconduct or indiscipline by the Managing Committee.
9.The Managing
Committee shall undertake an intensive annual review of membership
of the Club and shall take such action as may be required to ensure
that only bonafide journalists remain members.
