Everybody is increasingly concerned with the need to make his society competitive in the rapidly evolving economy. We are moving very fast towards new economy, new tools and new rules. Knowledge and Knowledge Management capability is considered as an asset to an individual, and a tangible wealth to a society vis-à-vis the nation.

Application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in ushering Knowledge is critical and needed by policy makers, business executives, academia and students- even by ordinary citizens. With ICTs, they can leap forth to higher levels of social, economic and political development through application of Knowledge.

The student population is growing by leaps and bounds and so are the schools and colleges. However, the quality faculties,

Utilizing Internet and e-Learning tools, the gap could be minimized by extending Virtual Coaching facilities to schools in Tripura. Using internet and e-Learning delivery tools, such coaching could be provided on real-time, interactive as well as on-demand basis.

teaching staff, etc. have not grown proportionally. The institutions suffer from a dearth of efficient teachers and trainers at all levels. In a few years time, India will have more than 50% of her population in the age group of 25-30 years. Challenging task is how to equip them with Knowledge in the field of agriculture, manufacturing industry, energy, bio-technology, science and so on.

A demand-driven systematic Knowledge delivery channel to students at the grass root level is required to be put in place on priority basis. Knowledge infusion is to take place relentlessly, from anywhere and any time as well as in a cost effective manner.

Ensuring admission of large number of students into various Institutes of excellence would be the key factor to transform the society. Not that the students from Tripura do not do well in various competitive examinations in the national and international levels; but it is only few and far between. One of the reasons behind is poor coaching facilities in the state. Students from rural areas of Tripura are more deprived and are going to be wider day by day, if not addressed effectively.

Students of Tripura can do much better, if enabling facilities are made available to them. With the availability of ICT tools, world class virtual coaching facilities for fine tuning students for various entrance examinations could be beamed to any school in any remote corner. This is required so that students from the state can secure admission to various world class Institutes in India and across the globe to acquire Knowledge to transform the society.

They can do better in All India Engineering & Pre Medical Entrance Examinations, NDA and various other competitive examinations, if such coaching facilities are made available in the state through virtual mode. Various private Educational/ Coaching Institutes are equipped with faculties comprising of professionals and retired professors from IITs / eminent Institutions across India. Success rate of such coaching institutes are found to be very high in main land cities.
