The story is not new to the researchers or historians. Conspiracy, murder, abduction is traditionally related to monarchy. The story of Tripura's royal family starts from 'Lakshmanabati' and ends with Tripura joining the Indian Union in 1949.

Apart from palace conspiracy the author also gives us a vivid account of the rise and fall of different dynasties. This would help the researchers. The book contains authentic references from eminent writers on Tripura. These deal with her rulers and also contemporary socio-cultural events....It should attract attention of academics of West Bengal, being a neighbouring state, and the author deserves credit for the book."
