CK Jamatia Retires, Raval Hamendra Kumar Appointed New CEO of TTAADC

In a significant administrative reshuffle, Raval Hamendra Kumar, IAS has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), headquartered at Khumulwng. This appointment follows the retirement of Chandra Kumar Jamatia, IAS the former CEO of TTAADC and Secretary of the Transport Department, who officially retired from service on Saturday.

Raval Hamendra Kumar, currently serving as Special Secretary with independent charge of the Education (School & Higher) Department, will assume the responsibilities of CEO, TTAADC, until further orders.

In a related development, the state government has also made changes in the Transport Department. Uttam Kumar Chakma, IAS who is presently the Secretary of the Tourism Department with additional charge as Secretary to the Governor, has been assigned the additional charge of the Transport Department, effective May 31.

Additionally, U.K. Chakma will function as the Ex-Officio Chairman of the Tripura Urban Transport Corporation Ltd. (TUTCL), thereby expanding his role within the state’s transport administration.

These appointments have become necessary following the retirement of C.K. Jamatia, who was not granted any extension or re-employment by the state government.
