Daring theft in pump house in Uttar Ram Nagar , lack of pro-active action on the part of police

Lack of initiative bordering on complete apathy on the part of police has created a serious law and order situation in Uttar Ramnagar village under Gandhigram area in Mohanpur subdivision. During the past year several incidents of thefts have occurred in the Uttar Ramnagar area but police have so far taken no drastic action to arrest the thieves and recover stolen materials. Sources from Gandhigram said that last night a gang of thieves broke into the pump house located in Uttar Ram Nagar area under Pashchim Gandhigram Panchayat under airport police station and made off with costly electrical materials . This morning the pump house staff found the door of the pump house broken and informed the police who came and assured the staff that they will soon arrest the culprits and recover the stolen materials .But nothing has happened so far.

Interestingly, a few days back the residents of Uttar Ram Nagar caught two thieves with stolen materials and handed them over to police after giving them a sound thrashing but the police let them off in stead of booking them and producing them in court. The people of Uttar Ram Nagar have been passing days in fear as the gang of thieves may break into any house in the area and make off with costly materials . They have appealed the police personnel of airport police station to take action against the increasing incidence of thefts .
